D1Vancouver--Yellowknife

Today you will arrive in Yellowknife, the capital of Canada's Northwest Territories province. Yellowknife Airport (YZF) provides a 24-hour free pick-up service on the day of the tour. The tour guide will be wearing a red Canada goose and waiting for you holding a pick-up sign with your name on it. You can rent Canada Goose level 5 Expedition jackets, snow pants, boots, gloves and other cold-weather clothing for a fee. After picking you up, the tour guide will hand over the cold-weather clothing to you and then go to the hotel to check in. Huangdao Town is one of the three major aurora viewing spots in the world. It has a superior geographical location and natural conditions. The aurora can be seen about 240 days a year. When night falls, in order to stay away from the light pollution of the city, we will drive to the Indian Safari Tent Valley Camp and wait for the Aurora to appear. The camp provides hot drinks and snacks. Lucky guests will have the opportunity to meet old Indian hunters who have returned from hunting and see them demonstrate their hunting methods and the prey they caught. After the aurora appears, we will follow the photography guide to take photos as much as we can. The negatives will be uploaded to the cloud and downloaded for free without loss. If you encounter windy and snowy weather, experienced drivers with many years of light chasing experience will take you to the lake or forest where you may see the aurora.

Today you can be free or participate in various activities at your own expense. In the afternoon, we will start a 1-2 hour urban tour of Yellowknife Town, visiting scenic spots such as the Great Slave Lake, the old town, Indian reservations, pilot monuments, etc. You can also receive the yellow knife badge and polar certificate at the visitor center. In the evening we will start the Aurora tour again. Aurora viewing on the second night, I believe you already know how to photograph the aurora. Whether in a warm and comfortable camp or on the road chasing the light, the photography guide will provide you with unlimited aurora photography. Recommended free activities in the morning: Century Square Mall has semi-finished furs, such as white snow fox fur, mink fur, etc. Food recommendations (at your own expense): The bison steak and venison steak at the internet celebrity Bullock restaurant are worth trying.

Today you will enjoy a leisurely day in Yellowknife Town. You can arrange your own activities or participate in local special projects at your own expense. When night falls, in order to avoid urban light pollution, we will depart from the hotel at around 22:00 to Tipi Tent Camp to hunt for the aurora. Every night there will be two experiences: camp + light chasing. The light chasing stops next to the forests near various lakes. Guests who don’t like chasing the light can also choose to stay in the camp and wait for the aurora.
